About TGIF Event Services, a Long Island event rental company
We are TGIF Event Services, a family owned Long Island event rental company that has been running parties since 1975. Michael Biondi took the business over from his family in 2007, and today we own more than 1,000 tents plus the flooring, staging, tables, linens and lighting that go underneath them.

Fifty years of Long Island events, one family
The business started in 1975 as a family DJ and entertainment company. The job back then was the music and the room: get people dancing, keep the night moving, hand the host a party they did not have to run themselves. That is still the job. The equipment list got a lot longer.
Michael Biondi took the company over from his family in 2007. He kept the entertainment work and built party planning, event planning and full event production around it, then started buying tents. The fleet went from two to more than 1,000. Flooring, staging, lighting, power, tables, chairs, lounge furniture, linens and catering equipment came with it, all of it bought, stored and maintained by us.
Today we work out of a warehouse at 100 Corporate Drive in Holtsville, right off the Expressway. That puts our trucks roughly an hour from Montauk and roughly an hour from the Nassau line, which is the practical reason one company can cover both counties and still get into the city.
How we got here
From a DJ booth to a 1,000 tent fleet
Four moments explain most of what we do and why we do it the way we do.
The family starts in 1975
A DJ and entertainment company, working weddings, sweet sixteens and block parties across Long Island. We learned what an event feels like from inside it, standing at the front of the room while it happened.
Michael takes over in 2007
Michael Biondi took the business over from his family, kept the entertainment work, and added party planning, event planning and event production. The company stopped being one line on a host's vendor list and became the first call.
The tents arrive
Two tents became four, then a rack, then a warehouse. The fleet is past 1,000 now: sailcloth, clear top, high peak and clearspan structure tents, from backyard sizes up to festival spans.
Everything under one roof
Floors, stages, lighting, power, furniture, linens and catering equipment followed the tents into the same building. What we quote you is what is sitting on our own racks in Holtsville.

Plenty of rental companies broker what they do not have and hire a crew to put it up. We do not. Here is what that changes on the day of your event.

The tent, the floor, the tables and the linens come off the same trucks on the same day. Nothing turns up from a fourth company at four in the afternoon.

The people who load the truck are the people who build the tent and the people who come back to take it down. No install subcontractor you have never met.

You are not passed between a sales rep, a dispatcher and somebody else's foreman. The same contact holds your job from the first conversation through breakdown.

How a job actually runs
From the first call to the empty lawn
Every event we take runs through the same six stages. Here is what we do at each one and the short list of things we need from you.

The three kinds of jobs we do
Weddings and private parties
Backyard weddings, anniversaries, graduations and milestone birthdays. Your property becomes the venue for one night, so the tent has to hold the whole event and still look like it belongs on that lawn.
Wedding rentals
Corporate, festival and production work
Company picnics, product launches, town fairs, concerts and location shoots. These need a site plan, a load-in schedule and structures that ballast onto asphalt as readily as they stake into grass.
Event production
Hosts across two counties and the city
All of Nassau and Suffolk, plus Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. Waterfront lawns take wind that inland sites never see, and the North Fork holds soft ground well into spring. We plan for the site, not the average.
