About TGIF Event Services, a Long Island event rental company
We are TGIF Event Services, a family owned Long Island event rental company that has been running parties since 1975. Michael Biondi took the business over from his family in 2007, and today we own more than 1,000 tents plus the flooring, staging, tables, linens and lighting that go underneath them.
Who you are calling
Fifty years of Long Island events, one family
The business started in 1975 as a family DJ and entertainment company. The job back then was the music and the room: get people dancing, keep the night moving, hand the host a party they did not have to run themselves. That is still the job. The equipment list got a lot longer.
Michael Biondi took the company over from his family in 2007. He kept the entertainment work and built party planning, event planning and full event production around it, then started buying tents. The fleet went from two to more than 1,000. Flooring, staging, lighting, power, tables, chairs, lounge furniture, linens and catering equipment came with it, all of it bought, stored and maintained by us.
Today we work out of a warehouse at 100 Corporate Drive in Holtsville, right off the Expressway. That puts our trucks roughly an hour from Montauk and roughly an hour from the Nassau line, which is the practical reason one company can cover both counties and still get into the city.

How we got here
From a DJ booth to a 1,000 tent fleet
Four moments explain most of what we do and why we do it the way we do.
The family starts in 1975
A DJ and entertainment company, working weddings, sweet sixteens and block parties across Long Island. We learned what an event feels like from inside it, standing at the front of the room while it happened.
Michael takes over in 2007
Michael Biondi took the business over from his family, kept the entertainment work, and added party planning, event planning and event production. The company stopped being one line on a host's vendor list and became the first call.
The tents arrive
Two tents became four, then a rack, then a warehouse. The fleet is past 1,000 now: sailcloth, clear top, high peak and clearspan structure tents, from backyard sizes up to festival spans.
Everything under one roof
Floors, stages, lighting, power, furniture, linens and catering equipment followed the tents into the same building. What we quote you is what is sitting on our own racks in Holtsville.
Why it matters who owns the gear
We own it, we deliver it, we install it
Plenty of rental companies broker what they do not have and hire a crew to put it up. We do not. Here is what that changes on the day of your event.
One delivery
The tent, the floor, the tables and the linens come off the same trucks on the same day. Nothing turns up from a fourth company at four in the afternoon.
One crew
The people who load the truck are the people who build the tent and the people who come back to take it down. No install subcontractor you have never met.
One person to call
You are not passed between a sales rep, a dispatcher and somebody else's foreman. The same contact holds your job from the first conversation through breakdown.
One quote
The whole list is priced in one document, so the floor and the install are not a second bill from a company you did not choose.
Build the list
One list, one warehouse, one delivery
Tap what your event needs. Watch the list get longer and the number of companies you are dealing with stay exactly where it is.
However long that list gets, it stays one delivery, one crew on your property, one quote and one person to call when something changes. None of it is handed to a subcontractor.
Everything in that tool lives in one of four categories, and each one has its own page. Photos of real installs sit in the gallery.
How a job actually runs
From the first call to the empty lawn
Every event we take runs through the same six stages. Here is what we do at each one and the short list of things we need from you.
| Stage | What we do | What we need from you |
|---|---|---|
| First call | Listen to what the event is, where it is, how many people are coming and what you have already booked. If a tent is the wrong answer for your property, we say so here. | The date, the address and a rough head count. |
| Site walk | Walk the ground and measure the usable area. We look at slope, trees, irrigation lines, overhead wires, the surface the tent lands on and how a loaded truck gets in and turns around. | Access to the property, and permission from whoever owns it if that is not you. |
| Layout and quote | Draw the footprint with the dance floor, the bar, the buffet and the seating where they belong, then price the whole list in one document. | Your caterer's equipment list and your band or DJ's power needs, if you have them yet. |
| Delivery and install | The tent, the flooring, the furniture, the linens and the power leave Holtsville on the same manifest. Our crew stakes or ballasts to the surface it sits on and builds the rest out around the layout you approved. | A clear path for the truck and somewhere to park it while we work. |
| Event day | Stay reachable. If the wind picks up or something has to move, you are calling the company that owns the tent, not a dispatcher at a firm we hired. | One person on site who can make a decision. |
| Breakdown | Come back on the agreed day, strike the tent, load out and leave the ground the way we found it. | Nothing. This is the part you should not have to think about. |
Who we work for
The three kinds of jobs we do
Weddings and private parties
Backyard weddings, anniversaries, graduations and milestone birthdays. Your property becomes the venue for one night, so the tent has to hold the whole event and still look like it belongs on that lawn.
Wedding rentals
Corporate, festival and production work
Company picnics, product launches, town fairs, concerts and location shoots. These need a site plan, a load-in schedule and structures that ballast onto asphalt as readily as they stake into grass.
Event production
Hosts across two counties and the city
All of Nassau and Suffolk, plus Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. Waterfront lawns take wind that inland sites never see, and the North Fork holds soft ground well into spring. We plan for the site, not the average.
Where we work
In our customers' words
What hosts say once the trucks have gone
We sit at 4.9 stars across 138 Google reviews. Four of them, word for word.
"We rented our tent from TGIF for our backyard wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made. We weren't sure a tent would work around our pool, but Mike reassured us that his team could make it happen. He was quick to answer every question, and the setup team was prompt and professional. Highly recommend!"
"Mike was incredible and guided me through the entire planning process for my wife's surprise 40th birthday party. He brought several important items to my attention that I would never have considered until it was too late. TGIF has a huge inventory with something for everyone. They helped make my wife's birthday incredibly special!"
"I had a corporate event with TGIF, and I still can't get over how easy they made everything. Every detail needed to be perfect, and somehow the result was even better than perfect."
"TGIF handled my event in Suffolk County, and they absolutely exceeded my expectations. The setup was perfect, the event went beautifully, and the team did an excellent job."
